IRNA - Head of East Azarbaijan Football Board
Saturday said the Iranian clubs` playoffs will be held on the pitch
of Takhti stadium of this city.
Talking to IRNA, Javad Sheshgalani added Yadegar-e Imam stadium was to host the matches but Takhti was picked as Yadegar was not
ready.
He said Takhti has quality lawn and attracts more fans due to its central location.
The playoffs are held between four teams struggling to qualify for Pro League.
The playoffs between the two first-division sides, Shahid Qandi and San`at Naft, and bottom-placed teams of Iran Pro League, SAIPA
and Shamoushak, are deciding for promotion of two other teams.
The fourth IPL has room for 16 teams -- two more than the previous edition.
